Youth Opportunities

Team Folklorama – Youth Division was created in 2012 to be a platform for Folklorama current and past youth volunteers (ages 14 to 25 years old) to reconnect and stay in touch with each other throughout the year, while continuing their connection to Folklorama.

Team Folklorama year-round activities are designed to: promote Folklorama in the community; provide work experience opportunities; provide mentorship and skill-building opportunities; strengthen bonds within the volunteer community; and develop year-round engagement with Folklorama’s programs and mandate.

Team Folklorama events are held during the course of the year and include volunteering opportunities throughout the city, participating ‘behind the scenes’ at Folklorama Talent events, participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program, and fun activity-filled evenings where youth can connect with each other and share in the promotion of culture.

Please feel free to share Team Folklorama information with your friends and fellow youth volunteers. If you would like to get involved with Team Folklorama please contact Rachelle Tabor via email at or by phone at (204) 982-6213.
