Career Opportunities at FolkloramaSeasonal Employment Opportunities at Folklorama! Recognized as the largest and longest-running festival of its kind in the world, Folklorama is accepting applicants for a number of seasonal staff positions for 2013. Following are the opportunities currently available: Distribution Coordinator (3 positions available) Term of employment July 2 – August 30; 9 weeks Distribution Coordinators report directly to the Distribution Head and perform all duties related to servicing of Folklorama pavilions, marketing programs, special events and inventory controls. Distribution Coordinators communicate daily with pavilions during the festival to ensure they are appropriately serviced and all necessary Folklorama materials are delivered in a timely manner, including pavilion signage and admissions. They will also distribute marketing materials in advance of the Festival and assist at Folklorama events, as required. Seasonal Accounting Assistant Term of employment July 15 – September 30; 11 weeks The Seasonal Accounting Assistant reports to the Folklorama Accounting Assistant and is responsible for all duties assigned in the area of accounting and data processing including accounts payables, accounts receivable, sales orders, invoicing, inventory tracking, month-end functions and reporting. The position also assists with reception relief during the peak Folklorama Festival period. Summer Receptionist Term of employment June 17 – August 17; 9 weeks The Summer Receptionist reports to the Folklorama Executive Assistant and is principally responsible for secretarial and reception services for Folklorama ensuring that all Folklorama members and clients receive prompt and friendly service on the phone and in person. They will also assist the Folklorama receptionist with ensuring mail and other office management functions are completed during the busy festival season. The position also provides administrative support for Folklorama staff and may be required to assist at Folklorama events.
