Double the Trouble


Double the Trouble~ Luc and Aidan Wrigley are 12 year old identical twin fiddlers. They are backed by their dad on guitar and perform traditional Metis Fiddle music along with some of their favorite contemporary songs by groups such as the Duhks, Bedouin Soundclash and Mumford and Sons, just to name a few.  These bilingual fiddlers have had great opportunities performing at various venues and on July 2nd they celebrated their first full recording which is titled “Keep Calm and Fiddle on”. Last summer they enjoyed their first 7 date tour from Winnipeg to Jasper and Banff with shows along the way.

Double the Trouble have been playing fiddle for 9 years and performing for 8. At the age of six they performed at the MTS Centre as part of the Aboriginal People's Choice Awards and have been a regular at the Festival du Voyageur since they were 7 years old. Other venues they have performed include: the Millennium Library as part of Winnipeg Folk Festival's Folk for Families concert series for the past 4 years, the Winnipeg Folk Festival last summer as wondering Minstrels. As well, they also performed in Churchill Manitoba last August for their Metis local, a performance lead by David Chartrand and the Manitoba Metis Federation. Furthermore, in 2013 they won the Winnipeg regional auditions to perform at Trout Forest Music Festival in Earfalls Ontario.
